INBOARD TRAINING

    The quickest and easiest way (for both you and your dog) to get your dog trained is through one of our inboard training programs.

   Dog training is about 60% dog training and 40% people training. With inboard training, we can do the 60% for you and make the 40% very easy.

    First, your dog comes and stays with us for 2 weeks. While boarding here, we teach your dog all that he needs to know about obedience as well as work on any specific behavior problems he may have. We use the basic commands: sit, down, stay, and come to teach your dog that giving respect to his handler is not only something that he must do, but something that can and does bring him great pleasure.

    Once we're done training your dog, then we work with you and your family in private follow-up classes to teach you how to get out of the dog what we've put in. A trained dog isn't of much value if you don't know how to use the training. Typically, it takes only 2 or 3 follow-up classes after the inboard training until the whole process is complete.

    For out of town clients we condense the follow-up lessons to keep your trips back to the kennel to a minimum. Follow up lessons can also be arranged in your home if desired.

DO YOU LIVE TOO FAR TO DRIVE?

    Peacock Bridge Kennels is located just 10 minutes from Reading Airport. You can ship your dog to us for training and either fly in yourself to pick him up and spend the day here learning to be a good handler, or one of our trainers can deliver your dog back to you and spend a day at your home teaching you.

    Private, one on one, classes are available at PBK any day of the week. We offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments for your convenience.

    If you live within 30 miles of our facility, in home lessons can be arranged.
